This graceful ring has a beautiful blue agate stone which measures about 5/8th-inch wide by just under 3/4-inch long. The light, medium and slightly darker pastel blues vary from opaque to clear and ripple like running water. The area which appears slightly darker in the photos is actually a clear band which shows the deeper blue inside the stone. The lighter areas are milky-whitish-blues which have the fine ripples and striations which are prized in lovely agates. This is a highly polished, beautiful stone! It is set in a deep sterling silver bezel, and the ring is two smooth silver bands which join in the back but are flared, off-center, at the sides of the stone.

The is an early 1960s hand-made, one-of-a-kind piece. The photos don't do this justice. It is very lovely and looks so graceful on the hand. Note: There is also a sterling silver bracelet featuring two blue agate stones which was made to match this ring -- same family of agates, and by the same skilled and talented silver artist, Rose Buccino Fine.

Size? It measures just a bit over 2-1/16 inches around, inside, and on a ring sizer is a size 7. It is oval, however, and possibly would be a size 7-1/2 if it were a full round. Most jewelers are able to easily "size" silver rings, larger or smaller, for you.
