Description

Kewpie is a brand of dolls and figurines that were conceived as comic strip characters by cartoonist Rose O'Neill. ... The Kewpie dolls were initially made out of bisque exclusively, but composition versions were introduced in the 1920s, and celluloid versions were manufactured in the following decades.

I not sure if this is a Kewpie Doll or a Cupie Doll? I was at an Estate Sale and was told this was an older Doll won as a prize in the 1960's or so. He called it a "Cupie Doll". In the pictures you see it is a heavy plaster like material weighing about 1.4 lbs. Anyway, we had our school picnics at Kennywood every Spring. This prize caught my attention and brought back many fond memories. The condition is good; the statue was well-cared for.

Please be sure to ENLARGE my photos for an up close and personal look.
