Description

This is a 3D printed construction kit to create your own landing pad display for your Konami 4.5" Eagle models.

What this kit includes:

- 10 Rim Edge Pieces (two designs so you can mix and match to break up regularity)
- Hollow Docking House Main Section
- Hollow Docking Front Section (with slot for docking tube to extend at will)
- Docking Tube
- Black Windows
- More Than Enough White Pips for "Landing Lights" (Non-functional) to line the cross docking pad.

What this kit does NOT include:

- Konami Eagle - You probably have one or more if you want this kit. Otherwise look around eBay. They can be found, and are just wonderful!
- Konami Booster Pack - This 3D printed booster pack (shown in the photos) is available in my SHAPEWAYS shop (search for FourthD). I also feature Winch Pod, Pallet Pod with Canisters and Laboratory Pod for Konami Eagles as well.
- Foam Core Base
- Red Landing Cross

NOTE: THESE ARE WHAT YOU MUST PROVIDE TO COMPLETE THE DISPLAY:

- The black base is a simple circle cut into standard black foam core.
- Paper printed red landing cross. (I found a good image of one on the web, and printed it on red printer paper. You can do this, or print it on white paper, since the image is red.)
- Glue - Note that the two house sections require gluing, but the rim edges can friction-fit and do not need to be glued, but you can glue them if you like. Crazy Glue is best for 3D printed ABS parts. I also glued down the landing lights. You can use Crazy Glue or White Glue, whatever works.

NOTE: Full helpful instructions can be found here: http://www.huxter.org/words/?p=3115

NOTE ALSO:

This is printed ON DEMAND. So it will take a few days to get it together for shipping. Will do it as fast as humanly possible, which isn't too bad considering I have four 3D printers which can churn this out fairly quickly.

These are 3D printed on home 3D printers at .15mm layer thickness. You will notice layers, but they are as fine as a home printer can do. Printing these on Shapeways would cost more than $200. (I test that).

Photos are of 3D printed at .2mm thickness, so yours will be nicer!

VERY nice display. VERY presentable!

I had purchased the (3) Dinky Eagles available in the US back in 1976 & always kept them in their original boxes. Now discovering this fantastic artist, as far as I'm concerned, has reinvigorated these great, well made toys!! I'm already making a huge list to follow the initial one. EXCELLENTLY made in every way!

Beautiful pod to add to my Dinky fleet. Nice detail in the design with the alternating colors being different sections of the pod. Wonderful and cooperative seller. Recommended!
