retro steampunk sautoir necklace with swallow cabochon and swarovski crystal "A free city open to the world"

This sautoir necklace takes us to an imaginary city where freedom and openness to the world would be the watchwords... These two ideal values seem to me inseparable from the idea of happiness in a place that has thus become privileged. So if you want to embark, take a seat aboard the Hirondelle and let yourself be guided by the compass rose: happiness is not far away!


This sautoir necklace is built around a large homemade cabochon representing cartographic elements in a steampunk spirit. The cabochon is inserted into a bronze-colored serrated support then fixed on a tall and thin bronze brass filigree as well.

Under the upper part of the filigree, I added a gear that reinforces the steampunk side of the sautoir necklace, then, in its center, a beautiful green Swarovski crystal cabochon set in a clawed support. Here is the strange sun that lights up our city.

Suspended at the bottom of the filigree, a garland announces the retro character of the jewel. It is composed of two Swarovski crystal pearls (turquoise and bronze) topped with caps and which hold a magnificent faceted round tassel in turquoise blue Swarovski crystal which illuminates the bottom of the sautoir necklace.

Sky blue, symbol of freedom and open-mindedness, blue also evokes the air in which the swallow hovers over the cabochon. The print is connected to the body of the sautoir necklace by two
small pieces of rose gold-plated brass chain.

The whole thing is held by a copper-plated brass chain (European manufacture) on which I added two small turquoise Swarovski crystal beads which echo those of the garland.

On the back, two pearls (turquoise crystal and bronze brass) bring a touch of femininity to the sautoir necklace.
