Description

Vintage, original Vogue ad for a dress designed by Herbert Sondheim (1895 - 1966). He was one of the developers of the New Your 7th Avenue fashion business who created clothes to appeal to the upper and upper middle class American. This lovely dress is "molded black raw silk chalked with white linen and sold for about $90 back in 1955.

The other side is an ad for Magic Strings Jewels by Bogoff, the leading design and manufacturing company started by Henry Boguff in 1940. This lovely blue and white ad contains "bogus-pearls" with swirls of pastel stones, what looks like sheet music and a violin.

Either side is perfect for framing. Approximately 9 1/4 x 12 1/2.

Some discoloration and foxing due to age.

These are beautiful. I love them. They were bent in mailing but seller was very fast in refunding for the purchase. They get a 5 star because the seller was easy to work with and they were exactly as pictured. I did end up able to use them but having them drymounted to remove the creases was pricy! They are so beautiful I needed to find a way to use them because after weeks of searching there was certainly no replacing them!
