Description

Don't let the outside wear on this book deceive you. It is filled with beautiful illustrations and is a must read for anyone interested in horses. Really it is the beautiful illustrations that will first catch your eye.

One of the most interesting features of the book is described on the inner jacket as the organization of the subject according to their uses throughout history as opposed to the usual subdivisions according to country of origin or conformation. This includes uses in battle, for transportation and agriculture, and sport. Every breed is represented and equestrian events are covered as well. Photo 7 shows the Contents page with all of the topics covered.

“Horses of the World”was written by Maurizio Bongianni and Concetta Mori, illustrated by Piero Cozzaglio, and published in 1986. It has 198 pages.

There is quite a bit of wear to this vintage book. Sadly, the cover jacket is ripped and worn, and the green hard cover of the book has some wear on the front and back as well. The book's spine is loose. There is a tear on the first blank page of the book which also has a note written to a previous owner on the page. Also, it appears a child got a hold of the book and scribbled in crayon to varying degrees. I counted 12 pages that had some sort of markings of this type. Photo 10 shows one of the worst examples. There are plenty of excellent illustrations from the book that could even be matted and framed making for some very interesting artwork.

Measurements:
11 1/2" long
10" wide
1" thick.

Excerpt from the book's dust cover:
"This beautifully illustrated and highly informative volume brings a new and exciting approach to every aspect of the horse, examining its physical characteristics, origins and evolution, functions and role in sports."

FAQs

Custom orders may require a longer time period to ship depending on the order, especially if materials need to be ordered. Please communicate the time frame your custom order is needed in...I am happy to work with you!
I ship items to your Etsy shipping address through USPS. Please let me know if you would like your item shipped to an alternate address.

The shipping calculated on Etsy only includes the actual cost of shipping the item. It does not include the cost of boxes, bubble wrap, and other shipping supplies. In some instances I have added a handling fee to help cover these additional costs especially for larger or more fragile items.
Shipping overages in excess of $2 will be refunded to the buyer. If possible, I will gladly combine shipping costs on multiple items. Feel free to contact me prior to purchase for an accurate combined shipping rate. I use new and/or recycled packaging materials to ship items.

I cannot guarantee shipping time frames as they are only an expected delivery date via the USPS. Some orders may be delayed because of holidays or unforeseen weather conditions. This is out of my control. I am not responsible for lost packages in the mail and will not reimburse lost packages. Contact me prior to purchase if you desire shipping insurance.
Please keep in mind that vintage items are at least 20 years old, and they have had 20 or more years of handling, wear and tear. They are not in perfect condition, but retain their vintage charm. Also, colors may look differently on your monitor than they appear in person.
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me. I want my customers to be 100% happy with their purchase. If for any reason you are not satisfied, before leaving negative feedback, please contact me so that I can resolve any issues.
