Description

Vintage '20's wood picture frame mounted with natural scallop shells on linen.
I love antique/vintage specimen and botanical framed prints. Combined with hand collecting scallop shells and a collection of vintage picture frames, I decided to create my own.
The shells are collected on Quincy Shore and Nantucket, Massachusetts.
The frame has a beautiful detailed scrollwork design, and measures aprox.
14 7/8" x 8 1/2" x 1/2" deep. Face of frame measures aprox. 1/2" wide.
The natural shells are a bluish gray with cream stripes and edging.
The fabric is a 2 textured, cream on cream.
It is framed without glass to make it more dimensional and tactile. Would be beautiful in a grouping of frames or on it's own.
Frame shows wear expected of it's age .Shells have natural imperfections and linen has variations.
Sold as is. I generally ship on Thursday after sale completion
