Description

A wonderfully detailed figurine from the famed Royal Worcester Potteries series. 'Upstairs Downstairs', depicting theoretical roles, based on the renowned UK TV series.
This is the depiction of the Laundry Maid hanging the washed items out to dry
The figure is full of delight, with a smiling face, and even clothes pegs in her finger, on a windy day with her apron strings flying in the wind.
Beautifully modelled by Maureen Halson. with a copyright date of 1989, it would have been produced in the Potteries region of England - Stoke on Trent

In January 1989 an "N" was introduced to indicate year of production, which this item has , succeeded in 1990 by "R"

It is stamped 'Fine Bone China', and 'Made in England'

The item is in a high gloss glaze except for the the maid's dress which is in a matted glaze

It is in perfect condition with no chips or cracks , and even has the quality inspector's paper stamp still attached
