How do I submit my design?

You can send your image(s) to me through Etsy Messages or to my email, hello@modernmakerstamps.com The best images are black on a white background. The larger the better! If you're not sure if yours will work, send it and I'll let you know.

When will my order ship?

Most of the year, your order will ship in 1-3 business days. If you want to double-check, my current production time can be found in the shop announcement at the top of my main shop page: https://www.etsy.com/shop/modernmakerstamps/ You’ll receive your info via email as soon as your order ships. Please note: For custom stamps, production time generally begins AFTER your design approval.

Will you design a stamp for me?

No, I cannot design or significantly edit your stamp image. To design your own, I highly recommend the free service Canva : https://www.canva.com/join/goldfish-enacting-venom I also have semi-custom designs available - designs for you to add your text to. Can I change the font or add text to a current design?

Yes - as long as it's already a custom stamp. Purchase the design & size you’d like and send me the details on the form at checkout.

What's the best method for inking my stamps?

The best way to ink most stamps is with a standard-size ink pad - even if the stamp is larger than the pad. Flip your ink upside-down and pat the ink onto the raised rubber surface. - Gives you LOTS more control over where the ink ends up - Keeps it out of the background entirely - Saves your ink so it will last longer Here are a few quick videos on this method: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPcGUyIlayQ https://www.instagram.com/p/CSrjnTlgGxY/ For large stamps, tap as lightly as you can to ink up your stamp's full surface. What images can I use on my custom stamps?

Any images that you send to Modern Maker Stamps for reproduction must be your own photo, drawing or design. Modern Maker LLC will not reproduce any images without permission from the owner. Images sent through e-mail or uploaded to this website are assumed to be the property of the sender. Stamps will be sized according to the dimensions of your design(s). I will use my discretion to keep your stamp sized best for your design. For example, if you purchase a 2" x 2" stamp that is a single line of text, I will likely send a 1" x 2" stamp so that you don't end up with a huge wood mount hanging off either side of your design. I'll generally let you know when I send your design proof if yours will be trimmed. If you're not sure what size to purchase, let me know.

The rubber on each custom stamp is engraved at approx 1/16" depth. Large stamps cannot be engraved more deeply. If you'd like to avoid background printing, it's recommended that you design your image without too many blank areas in the center and/or use a hand-held ink pad with a raised pad to apply your ink so you have as much control as possible. If you have questions or need help getting great imprints, let me know. I'm always happy to help.

Custom and personalized orders

To keep all orders moving smoothly and quickly, my stamps are often produced 24 hours after the design proof is sent. Since stamps will be in production, the buyer forfeits the right to editing after this time period
