Description

I recently fulfilled a lifelong dream and visited Japan, home of the world's most beautiful paper. I bought nearly 100 sheets of paper to use for bookbinding and I don't think I'll be able to use it all in my lifetime, so I'm selling half of every sheet to you, my fellow craftsman! That means that there is only ONE of these available, so if you love it, grab it while you can!

Size: 18"x24"
(Size is approximate because the paper is handmade and may vary slightly)

Your paper will ship rolled to protect it during mailing.

Please note that the actual color of the paper may vary from what you see on the screen - but trust me, they're all amazing!

Chiyogami is the name of Japanese handmade paper (also called "rice paper" but it's not made of rice, but of mulberry fiber) that became popular during the Edo period as gift wrap in the royal court of Japan. The patterns are based off of kimono fabric patters and are silkscreened on by hand with soy based ink. The paper is strong and easy to fold and glue making it a favorite of bookbinders, origami folders and card makers.

SHIPPING NOTE:
Sometimes the "calculated shipping" on etsy gets wacky - if you want an accurate shipping quote, feel free to email me with the number of sheets of paper you're interested in ordering and your Zipcode.
