Candy skull - Azucar 12X12 – acrylic paint on man-made canvas. 10 hours.

A little about the artist- Jose Perez. He is a self-taught artist whom has never had professional art training and learned everything he knows from studying art books. Every artist has their own techniques. What is the right techniques? There is no right way or wrong way. Jose is a good man whom was just caught in a bad situation and is now incarcerated from the outcome. His artwork gives him the encouragement and freedom to simply create from his mind. Art supplies are very hard to come by in prison so all of the artwork is created with supplies created within the prison including paint and canvas. All of the proceeds from the art sale go directly to Jose’s legal fees which are trying to resubmit his case for a mistrial and his release.
