Gardens of the Sun jewelry is warranted for 3 months from the date of shipping against any defects, like loose stones or if your jewelry arrives in less than stellar condition due to mishandling. Simply put, if we made a mistake, we’re committed to fixing it.

The 3 month warranty does not cover scratches, dullness of metals or stones, or jewelry that has been stolen, lost, dropped or damaged in any other way.

We do a strict quality control before we package and ship every single item, and we make sure your stones and metals are at their most beautiful before being wrapped up.

To claim a warrant, please email info@gardensofthesun.net with a description of what happened, a photo and your order number, so we can review it.

Is your jewelry not quite the right size or not quite what you expected? We accept returns on ready-stock items within 14 days of receiving your order. Please email info@gardensofthesun.net with your order number and why you’d like to return it.

To be eligible for a return, your jewelry must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. This means free from scratches, blemishes, sizing or alterations, and without signs of wear or tear. It must also be in the original packaging. We don't accept returns on custom made jewelry.

We’d love to say we’ve got a “no questions asked” return policy, but we don’t work that way. We strive to always be better. We’d like to hear why you return your jewelry so that we can continue to improve. If there’s anything you’re unhappy with, please let us know so we can fix this for other customers.

We offer express shipping with DHL from $17-$30 worldwide, depending on your location. If your order exceeds $300 we'll ship to you for free. Shipping usually takes 2-5 business days.

All ready-stock items are shipped within 3 working days of your purchase, excluding Balinese holidays, as the post office is closed on those days.

All jewelry comes with complimentary gift wrapping in handcrafted, plastic-free packaging.

I lost my earring. Can you replace a single earring?
Probably we can. If we have the right diamond or gemstones in stock you may purchase a single. Our pieces are made by hand and often with uncut gemstones and, as a result, each piece will vary slightly in size, shape and color. In some cases, we'll ask you to send the mate to us (at your cost) so we can better match it for you. The cost for one earring is typically half of the cost for the pair.

Do you ever run discounts?
Yes! Follow us on Instagram or you sign up for the Insider List. We often run specials and will announce discount codes on social media and in the newsletter. We also offer free shipping worldwide on orders over $300, no coupon code necessary.

Can you send my purchase directly to a gift recipient?

Who runs Gardens of the Sun?
Gardens of the Sun is owned and run by Meri Geraldine. Born and raised in the Netherlands, and living in Indonesia for almost a decade as a sustainability consultant in the forestry sector.

Where does the name of the shop come from?
The name of the shop, Gardens of the Sun, comes from an old journal about Borneo island written by an explorer from the 19th century. He describes the exotic jungles of the tropical islands of Borneo and Sulawesi. His description of the home of the Dayaks, rare birds and curious animals opened up a whole new world, inspiring many others.

Where is the location of the shop and studio?
The design studio is located in Bali, Indonesia (yes, that's as amazing as it sounds). The actual magic happens in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. You can find more details about stockists at www.gardensofthesun.net/pages/stockists.

All ready-stock items are shipped via registered mail by Indonesia Post within 3 working days of your purchase, excluding Balinese holidays as the post office is closed on those days.

Shipping to the US and Australia normally takes 2 to 4 weeks, and to Europe and Canada it takes 2 to 5 weeks. Around the holidays the shipping times may be a little longer.

Unless agreed otherwise, custom made items in sterling silver are shipped within 3 to 4 weeks of your purchase, and custom made jewelry in gold is shipped within 4 to 6 weeks of your purchase. Shipping times are similar to ready-stock items.

Gardens of the Sun is not responsible for items damaged or lost in transit.
For faster shipping, please select the Express Shipping upgrade, which takes around 5 working days to destinations worldwide. This excludes any time the package may spend at customs. Please note that paying for expedited shipping does not mean that you will receive your goods the next day, as we are shipping halfway across the world!

For all international orders, the consumer is responsible for any tax and duty fees on orders required to go through customs.

For sterling silver jewelry the turnover time is 3 to 4 weeks. For solid gold jewelry the turnover time is 4 to 6 weeks.

I strive to fulfill your order as timely as possible. However, due to the handmade nature of custom pieces I ask that all customers be aware of this production window.

I accept returns of ready stock items within 30 days of purchase date or within 7 days of receipt of product (whichever is longer). Your jewelry must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. This means in original packaging, free from scratches, blemishes, sizing or alterations, and without signs of wear or tear.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
For reasons of hygiene I do not accept returns of earrings.
Unfortunately, custom orders (including engraved pieces and special ring sizes) are non-refundable, but I do want you to be happy with your piece. If the item is damaged or we made a mistake, I will work with you to fix it.
As each piece is handmade to order, outside of repairs and issuing a claim for defect, I do not accept returns. However, if you need resizing, or need further work to perfection your custom order, I would be happy to work with you.

There is a 24 hour time window for you to cancel your custom order. A bespoke piece is hand made especially for you, so once production starts it cannot be cancelled. For all sterling silver jewelry there is an $25 non-refundable deposit, and for solid gold jewelry there is an $100 non-refundable deposit. If you decide not to purchase your bespoke jewelry,
Your satisfaction is important to me! If you find your ring does not fit, you can return it and I will resize the ring for you. You just pay an $10 resizing fee for sterling silver rings (which includes shipping to get it back to you) to cover the cost of materials and return shipping. Not all rings can be resized due to the type of setting. In that case you may want to return the ring and exchange it for another one, or let me make your similar ring in your size. Questions?
