Description

Exceptional, dated, German glass Beer Stein from 1873 with Forest green stone in ornate pewter lid.
Remarkable figurine lever of singing musician holding a guitar sitting on a wooden barrel (street performer?).

Lid engraving reads:

W.Auerswald
27.Juli (July)
1873

In truly outstanding condition, lid sits perfectly, like the day it was made. Hardly any signs of wear, almost entirely free of glass scratching. Thick, 3 finger grip, handle. Couple of tiny flea bites on outer lip rim, but they are not sharp and don't present a danger, safe to use as they are smooth and minuscule.
Beautifully rounded out base skirt, 7 window panel cut lower half, plain glass upper, thick walled.
Some (not many) air bubble and impurity enclosures in glass.

Probably the best condition Beer Stein I've ever seen from this time period, truly outstanding high quality piece.
Wonderful collector's piece and suitable for daily use.

Measures 19 cm tall up to Forest stone, 21.5 cm up to lever figurine, approx. 10 cm base skirt diameter and though no capacity mark is given it appears to be a 0.5l.

FAQs

No, as a small private seller I do not accept returns.
Many of my listed items are breakable antique or vintage ceramics which are carefully wrapped to avoid breakage during transport.
A lot of effort goes into packaging from my side, allowing returns from customers worldwide increases the risk of transport damage which leads to difficulties.
All items have detailed descriptions, photographs and measurements, please look at these carefully before you buy. If more information and pictures are required please message me and I will reply within a few hours, thank you. :)
If you purchase more than one item Etsy will issue you with a combined shipping invoice.
As shipping depends on size and weight of the parcel and country of destination, shipping may be slightly over or undercharged by Etsy's combined bill.
I'm not looking to make money of postage cost, so a refund will be issued for any excess shipping paid.
Should postage be a little higher than estimated I will cover it myself, you will not get a top-up request.
I think that's very fair on the buyer.
Usually within 1-3 business days after an order has been placed.
I do have a life outside of Etsy, plus we have livestock, items also need to be carefully and thickly wrapped and driven to the Post office.
It takes me 1-3 business days to get an order ready for shipment, once it's posted you will receive a message with the tracking number, all parcels are sent via registered tracking, signature required.
We are located just north of Dundalk, County Louth in the Republic of Ireland. All items may be collected in person after arrangement, local delivery possible, or worldwide shipping.
Generally not, but it depends on the item and if the offer is reasonable.
