The beaches in Charleston, SC have beautiful green palmetto plants. Not to be confused with PALM trees, the PALMETTO tree is actually the state tree and is notoriously known for being the symbol on the South Carolina state flag (along with the crescent moon).

Photo was taken on the boardwalk at Station 21 on Sullivan's Island.
