FAQs

Yes, I do take commissions and requests for paintings. Please contact me through the shop for any personalized paintings.
Hang it on a wall, on the ceiling, wherever you want. BUT , if you hang it in an overly sunny place, the paint will fade over the decades, that is the chemistry of pigment. If you hang it in a really damp place, the canvas might start to mold or mildew. That is the standard chemistry of canvas. If you hang it where animals and small children can reach it, they might ruin it. Use common sense when choosing a place to put art works. An ounce of caution is worth a pound of care.
All paintings come in the sizes listed. If you are requesting a custom or commissioning a painting, I will create it in the size you need.
I wrap them up tight(usually in bubble wrap) to survive the journey and put them in a box. My boxes are brown. If you are really polite I can be persuaded to wrap them in wrapping paper for gifts. The wrapping paper will be colorful, ye shall like it.
I love my paintings. I make sure to package them well because I love them and want them to get safe to you. However, I have some friends who work at shipping companies and have made me well aware of what goes on to the packages there. (I'm looking at you UPS workers.)

That being said,if a package comes to you damaged(in a not intentional art sort of way) send it back, I will fix it or paint you a duplicate, and send it back to you free of charge(except for what it costs you to send it to me.)

I want you to enjoy my art, I will do what I can on my end to ensure that it comes to you in the condition the artist intended.
That's a great question!
I use a simple formula to price my art:

(hourly wage X number of hours) + cost of materials = price

For my beginning pieces, I set the hourly wage at minimum wage for that time (which was 9 bucks an hour), because I realized that I was still learning my craft.
As my skill has progressed, and as minimum wage has risen in CA, so has the hourly wage that I use to implement in my formula.

I don't just pick numbers from the sky. Contrary to popular belief, artists CAN do math.
