Recycled glass aspen leaf was cut from the side of a discarded Italian Peroni beer bottle. The design of the leaf is based on a leaf found huddled in-between an elm leaf branch and a delegation of poplar and linden leaves--compliments of my next door neighbor. Due to the handmade nature of this art-form (my poor man's slumping technique), variations are to be expected and celebrated (Celebration Ale, anyone?).
Heart shaped leaf measures 2 1/2" wide by 2 1/2" long with a 2 1/2" copper rod stem and a ball-bearing swivel--it's a two and a half production, eh?
After hanging leaf from that little hook in your porch...sit back with Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in Em with Kyung Wha Chung on the fiddle, and a couple of those summer variety ice-cold Leinies...aaahhh.
...interactive art piece anyone? You collect interesting leaves that you especially enjoy, grab a couple of your favorite brews--send (or drop-off, if you're in the neighborhood), and I'll render the leaf from the side of your selected bottle. Interact?
