Description

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is the first full-length cel animated feature film and the earliest Disney animated feature film. Released in 1937, each frame was hand drawn. San Francisco gallery owner Guthrie Courvoisier recognized the new art form and contracted exclusively to sell the art. Not every frame had a background from the film so Disney Studios created each back ground exclusively for these cels. Below is a link with further information from the Walt Disney Family Museum.

This sweet piece features Snow appraising her tattered gown in the company of two birds and a squirrel.

The piece is 11" tall and 7" wide. It is taped to the matting and consists of two pieces of celluloid and the back ground paper. The wavy aspect is common of celluloid.

There is a small piece of color chipped from Snow's left arm.
