Description

This listing is for ONE button, but there are SIX available.

These are really gorgeous vintage buttons. They are olive green "marbled" bakelite. They are carved with a stylized botanical design on both sides. There are also 4 deep grooved lines that are filled with a twisted metal wire. They are very interesting.

They are NBS large, measuring 1 & 7/16" (3.7 cm) in diameter. There is an embedded metal shank on the back. The wires are secured on the backs with some kind of silver. Every one of them has the silver so I assume that is how they were originally manufactured.

These would be wonderful buttons to use on that special knitted, woven, crocheted, sewn or quilted garment. It would also be a nice addition to any bakelite button collection. They are very handsome.

They are in very good, original vintage condition. I would date these to the 1930s-1940s.
