This high fire stoneware teapot's breathtaking design was inspired by nature and the outdoors. First hand thrown on the potters wheel, this piece was then hand carved, with the spout, handle, and lid being handmade and carved to add to the pieces aesthetic. The multi-stage glazing process creates an unusual and interesting speckled pattern reminiscent of a koi fish, alternating between semi-glazed and fully glazed sections of the teapot. As the second piece in the Koi Series, this teapot further explores the relationship between function and form as well as experimenting with the designs application on a more conventionally sized teapot.

This piece is a beautiful addition to your kitchen table, and is sure to garner interest with its organic shape and gorgeous colour scheme.

I hope that it will serve you well and brew many a cup of tea in its lifetime!

All of my pottery pieces are hand-thrown, use lead-free glazes, and are dishwasher, food, and microwave safe.
