Boucher violets brooch with cultured pearl part of the Flower of the Month series, February birthday gift, numbered 8368.

Most of the leaves are a textured matte but the ones in the center have glossy tips to catch the light.

Signed Boucher, and numbered 8368. The brooch measures 2" (5.1 cm) x 1 1/2" ((3.8) and is in very good vintage condition. It is also stamped Violets.

Most likely 1962 by the number. Marcel Boucher had his own line from 1937 until his death in 1965. It was then carried on by his wife until 1971. He also had a less expensive line called Marboux. A Boucher piece is considered a work of art!

This would be lovely as a Wedding cake brooch, wedding dress sash or part of a wedding brooch bouquet! See last photo for an example of a brooch I sold being used as a wedding cake brooch.
