This ring features a round cut neon pink rubellite tourmaline. It measures 6.2 mm in diameter and weighs in at 0.94 carats. It is set in a 10k yellow gold band with two 1.8 mm diamond accents.

This ring features a rare neon pink rubellite tourmaline. Tourmaline comes in a wide range of colors, but the reds and pinks and some of the most famous and desirable. They range from light pink to deep red, but perhaps the most striking are the hot pink stones, which show a color very similar to ruby or pink sapphire. These stones have shot up in price and popularity over the past decade alongside rubies and pink sapphires because of high demand in China, where red and pink gems are particularly valued. Because of this it has become very hard to source fine rubellite tourmalines--however, I was lucky enough to be offered a small parcel of very fine stones by one of my suppliers as a favor, including this one.

These stone is phenomenal--its color shifts between a warm, rich peach-red under incandescent light to a bright neon pink in sunlight. Not only is the color excellent, but this stone has also been cut very well as a brilliant round.

It is set in a 10k band with simple, elegant styling and two diamond accents.
