Vintage Independence Ironstone (made in Japan) white coffee pitcher!

Gorgeous white ironstone coffee (or tea) pitcher in excellent condition. I adore ironstone as it is a durable material that lasts forever, and can be used year round (casually or formally). The term "ironstone" was coined in the early 1800s by English porcelain makers. The new product resembled Chinese porcelain but was much more durable to daily use. It has been a kitchen favorite ever since!

This piece has a wonderful pagoda shape, with it's original lid. I love the square handle. In mint condition.

measures about 12" high
