Description

This 1.5 inch magnet features a section of Long Island and is made from a real, vintage map and a clear glass gem. Landmarks on the magnet include Stony Brook, Port Jefferson, Miller Place, and Terryville.

Take a stroll down memory lane each time you open your refrigerator or file cabinet. The town where you got married... where your grandmother was born... where you got that flat tire and had to spend the night... where you caught the big fish (or it got away)... where your favorite movie was filmed... where you accidentally discovered the best diner ever... where she graduated law school... his favorite climbing spot... the place you want to visit... the best concert ever... the wrong turn that became the right one... Remember it with a magnet!

The glass gem is curved and, thanks to physics, bends the light making the map appear magnified. The glass gem may have ripples or bubbles from the manufacturing process and shouldn't be seen as flaws. On my fridge, the magnet holds 2 pieces of copier paper.

Is there a town, lake, or landmark you're looking for? Browse my listings and see if I have it listed. If not, I'm happy to scour my collection of maps and see if I can make a special magnet just for you!
