I'm so very happy to have this desk! I've been wanting a lap desk for many, many years but I couldn't bring myself to buy any of the chintzy ones you see everywhere. I wanted a wide width to lay a large sketchbook open and have room to the left for a collection of drawing instruments, and this is the only seller on Etsy (or anywhere!) that I could find that had a larger, handmade tray with a raised lip -- the only one! The surface is smooth and pleasing to the touch. The black is a nice satin finish that gives me an excellent backdrop from which to judge the values in my drawings. I've been waiting for this desk all my adult life. So happy I found Jbutik!

The lap desk I ordered is beautiful and very well crafted! It’s sturdy and exactly what I was looking for to use for projects. The fabric is a durable but not scratchy canvas, the lap desk itself feels smooth and will be a good stable surface, overall the craftsmanship is great. There were significant delays during shipping and I waited twice as long as I had expected for the lap desk to arrive. After it had been four weeks, I reached out for assistance to the Etsy shop and was told only to contact USPS, which I did. It must have helped since my order arrived just a couple days after reaching out. I would order from the shop again but not if I had a time deadline! But the lap desk itself is great and I’m very excited to use it.

When my lap desk arrived I was so thrilled! It looks absolutely beautiful, perfect size too (there were a few choices). Designs are limiteless and I was able to customise mine, which I'm rapt about. Prices are really reasonable and it was delivered sooner than expected. So very proud of my stunning purchase ... will definitely do so again. Highly recommended!
