Description

Jane Eyre opens with Jane, an orphaned, isolated ten-year-old, living with a family that dislikes her. She grows in strength, excels at school, becomes a governess, and falls in love with Edward Rochester. After being deceived by him, Jane goes to Marsh End, where she regains her spirituality and discovers her own strength. By novel's end, Jane is a strong, independent woman.

This version is beautifully bound in red cloth board and is the perfect size to fit in a bag. This classic tale of love gone wrong would be a delight for anyone to read.

Everyman's Library was founded in February 1906 with the publication by Joseph Dent (of fifty titles. Dent was a master bookbinder turned publisher and promised to publish new and beautiful editions of the world’s classics at one shilling a volume, so that ‘for a few shillings the reader may have a whole bookshelf of the immortals'.

This would make a wonderfully unusual gift for anyone who loves to read the classics or is perhaps collecting the Everyman Library books themself.

Bearing in mind the age of the book, apart from a little fading on the cover and spine, it is in perfect condition with no tears or folds, but there is an inscription on the inside front cover which says: Marion Gibbon 1949.

Not worth the money
Disney scrapbook pack lucky dip. 29 sheets scrap paper for album, junk journal, smash book, collage. Ephemera for card making and papercraft
Book Fairy responded

I am sorry you feel that way - especially as other people have bought the same item and been extremely happy. I welcome feedback and want all my customers to be happy with their purchases, as poor reviews can be extremely damaging. It would have been good to have been given the opportunity to improve your experience, as I am sure your constructive criticism would have been very helpful, but my attempts to contact you have been ignored. For future customers, it is worth noting that this pack has been changed since this review and instead of a broad spectrum of Disney characters, it now only contains Disney Princesses and heroines.
