Description

This item is a beaded rattlesnake hatband. I used cream and black Tila beads for the diamond patterns on the snake, surrounded by amber (not really gold) and brown beads to comprise the snakeskin. This piece took a month to construct. The snake's head and rattles are also all beads, with red tiger eye rounds for the snake's eyes. I used the two original belt buckle prongs for the fangs. It was hand-sewn (embroidered) with Nymo thread onto a small cotton belt, then sewn together at the critical point. The snake's head can go either in front or in the back of the hat. It is featured on the back of a hat in the photos.

This is an awesome piece and definitely a OOAK, and you won't find another one out there like it anywhere. I am one of the only current bead artists who is making beaded snake theme items at this time.

This hatband should fit a hat that is about from a 6 1/2 to 6 7/8 or maybe even 7 size hat.

This is truly a very tasteful attention-getter to adorn your hat, and be prepared to get a lot of compliments! I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I had making it...I almost wanted to keep this one for myself!!!
