Description

This listing is for 2 beautiful and less common variation of this particular species, Haworthia Cymbiformis var Obtusa, which is identified by a more rounded leaf, almost bubble like in appearance, a more translucent and brighter translucent green than other 'window plants"/Haworthias with similar features known for the green glow they producer when sun shines through the leaves. The beautiful translucent color always reminds me of a jade or other crystal making the species look great both in arrangements of different succulents or when kept separated growing into large clusters of interconnected plants.

What you get:
Each order will consist of 2 or 4 plants depending on selection. All the juvenile plants are close to the age where offsets begin to produce and have a diameter of about 1-1.5 inches, and although they can grow a bit bigger with most plants focusing their energy on producing offsets rather than growing much beyond the 1.5 to 2.25 inch avergae fully mature size. Of course, these clusters are what really make the plant shine so once offsets begin to form I suggest letting the cluster take shape and blanket the pot they are growing in which looks especially beautiful when the sun shines through all the jade colored, semi-transparent leaves.

Care:
I suggest planting them in a 4 inch container together, or separately in 3 inch container (or 4 if 3 is N/A) because from experience if you are going to keep them in a pot, they like to have enough space to grow their thick roots, and multiply with their offsets, yet still keep hug the walls of the pot. Once the roots begin to become rather dense, repotting is suggested allowing you the option to keep clusters as one large plant or separating them into multiple smaller groups . Planting 4 of these in a 4-5 inch pot you can expect them to settle in, and produce plenty of offsets to help the plants marge forming one big cluster together.

DO NOT OVERWATER. ALLOW A DAY OR 2 OF DRY SOIL BEFORE WATERING AGAIN!

GENERAL INFORMATION FOR ALL LISTINGS:

If you have questions, as always, I am more than happy to answer them, both now and down the road should u run into problems or general questions you'd like to know more about.

Shipping:
-Priority shipping only due to fragile nature of plants and current wet/cold.snowy weather. This will assure the package arrives quickly without any damage caused by these elements. Please try to track your plant so it does not sit out in the snow (if applicable)
-Bare root shipping will not injure your succulent. Due to their ability to store water in their leaves, these plants do not go through the same shock that a tree or non succulent plant would so it will resume growth quickly after it is replanted, and sometimes even continuing while not before doing so.

Note/Infos:
Colorful Succulents is the Etsy store of Santa Barbara Succulents and Santabarbaracactus.com, a micro nursery with limited public access here in the foothills of the Santa Ynez Mountains where we are blessed with ideal conditions for growing these wonderful plants. All of my succulents and cacti are individually cared for by me, Jens, and after initial propagation and for some, and indoor stage to protect the youngest seedlings, are grown outdoors, organically, using ONLY natural USDA organic approved fertilizers and minerals such as homemade compost, organic worm castings, bat guano, azomite etc producing strong plants maximizing their ability to withstand their maximum hot/cold temperatures, pest and/or disease much better then overfertilized/watered plants and are overall more hardy than those grown in greenhouses or indoors under artificial lights for their adult lives making them more susceptible to sunburn and cold/frost damage, and are often known to "deflate" once removed from their idealistic conditions and intense feeding schedules. The bottom line is, I try my best to grow strong, healthy Succulents and sell them to you at a fair price that covers my expenses and allows me to survive in an attempt to continue doing what I love to the best of my abilities!

CUSTOM ORDERS:
are always available upon request. I have a large collection of succulents and cacti currently being propagated, grown and cared for as described above but only post a few at a time to assure that I can continue to provide the best customer service possible rather than trying to sell as many succulents as somehow possible. Yes, Of course, I need to sell to keep the business, but making sure that questions are answered promptly and accurately, shipments go out on time etc is my priority. If I do not have the plant you are looking for, I will let you know within 24-36 hrs whether I am able to get it for you from one of my affiliates who share the same philosophy, methods, and standards as me, and also own rare and collectors items usually unable to be accessed by many larger nurseries***
