Description

I know that it’s kind of wrong for a predator to play with his prey...but there is something about this little guy that I just love. I imagine that times are not always good for Franklin. He knows more lean times than good. More often than not the hunt doesn’t go his way. Perhaps he’s clumsy and gives himself away or perhaps people are just getting better at keeping their chickens tucked up and safe from becoming his dinner? His thin, spidery arms and legs show that he doesn’t always bring home the bacon…or the chicken dinner as the case may be.

Today however things went his way. He has a full round tummy and tales to tell about his bravery and prowess as a provider. To me he’s about to put on a puppet show for the cubs and with a full belly he can’t wait to get started. He might even embellish the chase a little…actually, I’m sure he will. After all…wouldn’t you?

This is a listing for the instantly downloadable sewing pattern to make Franklin Fox and his puppets. The design will arrive to you as a single file and uses quilting weight cotton fabrics as well as wool felt. Franklin can be posed and played with thanks to simple teddy bear joints and he'll always look like he's planning his next move thanks to the twinkle in his black glass eyes. All pattern pieces print to standard Australian A4 size paper so no cutting and sticking is involved to make templates. His finished size is approx. 30cm. Hand stitches used are running, back, blanket and ladder stitches.

Franklin is made using glass teddy bear eyes. Full supervision should be given to children to whom small parts may pose a choking hazzard while they play with Franklin softies.

Please note that as I'm an Australian designer. All measurements will be given using the metric system.

I go to every length to provide detailed and easily understood written instructions. Franklin will be a satisfying addition to a seasoned toy makers repertoire. He may pose a happy challenge to those with some sewing knowledge who are just dipping their toes in the world of toy making. If you do find you need a little help with Franklin as you're sewing him together you can always message me via Etsy or email me jenny [!at] frazzydazzles.com and I'll do my best to answer any of your questions.

While I'm happy for you as the purchaser to make Franklin and sell your work on a small scale such through a market I do ask that all labeling and marketing material identify myself and or Frazzy Dazzles as the original designer. The copying of and or re-selling/re-distribution of this pattern either in paper or digital form just isn't very nice...

Thank you for looking at my handsome chap. If you like my designs you might like to follow my Frazzy Dazzles page of Facebook and Instagram. That's where I share all new and emerging designs first.
