Description

I've crafted this ring from a 1948 Half Crown coin. This particular item is size R, but Half Crowns in general can be made into rings from size R to Z3. I have fully polished this ring, so it's shiny and bright - I have also sealed the inside face with lacquer, to prevent skin irritation or dark marks.

This ring is the cupronickel version (non-silver). Please see my other items if you would like a Sterling silver (.925) or 50% silver version, which would have different dates, designs and prices.

I have made this ring in the "fat tyre" style, where the sides are rounded, giving a chunky look. I can also make it with straight, parallel sides, as per some of my other items. Please contact me if you have specific requirements and I will make a bespoke item for you.

British coins minted between 1920 and 1946 have a 50% silver content as opposed to coins minted prior to 1920, which had a 92.5% silver content (Sterling). Any coins minted after 1946 had no silver content at all.

The item will be supplied in a small black card box and sent by 1st Class Royal Mail "signed-for" large letter post.

I ordered three little bird sixpence pendants for myself and my two sisters and we love them-they are absolutely beautiful! Duncan went above and beyond to make sure they were perfect for us, even sourcing 1958 coins specially. They arrived quickly and communication was brilliant. I was genuinely touched by how much effort Duncan put into making sure they were just right. Thank you 😊
