Description

I have to say, I have a hard time dating this bracelet. It is definitely not younger than the early 1950s and I think could be as old as the 1930s. I tried to find out something about MARiNO and found many or their jewelry items but nothing about the history of the company.

The original bracelet was made by Marino - signed on the clasp. When I bought this at an estate sale in the 1990s, the charms were oddly placed which makes me think some have been lost along the way. So, I reworked it a little. I also added the little "working" alarm clock charm because I needed 15 charms to make it work. I also added the 6 butterscotch bakelite beads. I think it turned out very well. It is fun to wear.

The charms include: lawn mower, hose nozzle, watering can, bi-plane with moving parts, stop sign,, bullet, bell, working roller skate, wishing well, man with moving arms, table lamp, woman with moving arms, "working" clock, bottle, and rolling tool.

The bracelet is made of non-magnetic sliver toned metal, maybe white brass. The vintage jump rings I used on the beads ARE magnetic.

It is 7 & 3/8" long. The links are 7/16" long and 5/16" wide. The charms range in size from 5/16" high (watering can) to 7/8" long (roller skate).

This is in very good, re-purposed vintage condition. It has been worn and that has given it a warm patina that can't be reproduced. It gives a warmth to the metal. As I said, this has been reworked, so I would say it's made by Marino and ME! The clasp is solid.

This is cute as can be. You will love it, I promise.
