This antique book, "Hard Knocks - A Life Story of the Vanishing West," an autobiography written by Harry Young is a 1915 first edition and includes a personal note to a T. U. Williams, dated 4/4/1916 which is signed by the author. Young writes with first hand knowledge of many famous characters of the old west including Buffalo Bill, General Custer, Calamity Jane, Wild Bill Hickok and more. This hardback book measures 5.5" X 7.75" X 1" and has 242 pages including approx. 20 black and white photos and sketches by the author. No cover jacket included. Published by Wells & Company of Portland, Oregon.

CONDITION:
This 100 year old book is in very good condition considering its age with good binding and no major issues. The cover has some fading, shelf wear and some slight fraying on edges/corners. The interior pages have yellowed with age and show a few small, light stains on a few pages as well as a few folded corners but no rips or tears. We found some dried binding glue residual along gutter on some of coated stock photo pages. We did find one of the photo pages that is approx. 50% loose from the binding but is still attached.

SHIPPING:
FREE USPS Priority Mail (2-3 business days) to anywhere in the USA. International shipping available--rates as shown.
