Something about this lovely set reminds me of the classic elegance of Manderley, although Daphne DuMaurier's unforgettable novel was set in the 1930's, and Castleton was manufactured in the 1960's. This is the look of understated, careless elegance--the kind one would expect of Maxim DeWinter....

A very pretty teacup and saucer in the lovely Belmont pattern, featuring a bone cream background, lots of gilding and beaded gilding, and an urn pattern on both the cup and saucer. Castleton is a top quality name in china, and was collected by millionaires in the 1960's. Teacup measures roughly 4" from rim to rim, and stands about 2-1/4" tall. Saucer measures 6-1/4" rim to rim. I have another teacup in my store if you need two :)

CONDITION: Almost mint--only the very barest wear to the pattern and gilding. No chips, cracks, fleabites, or crazing. A very elegant set, ready for use or display!
