This is a great lot of Postal History in used condition. This is a very beautiful cover mailed to Honorable Hiram Barney. This may be the Hiram Barney who did talk with Abraham Lincoln on occassion.

However, I am not positive if it is the same person.

Cover mailed to Willards Hotel Washington DC with an unknown postmark on bottom; possibly New York

Professor Paterson MC 264 F Street is noted in pencil top right.

Part of the flap seal is missing on back and cover does have some dings on the edges.

This would make an excellent addition to any collection.
