i really loved the result so i thought i would make a mall mounted version, and here it is!....

the wooden layers really create a lovely eye-catching effect, it's almost like having a piece of unusual art on your wall- but as a practical light too!
and with 2 lamp holders this really is a practical and useful light, with one up and one down it really makes a beautiful feature on any wall.

i have made the whole light entirely from start to finish myself, all from locally sourced french wood and nothing else. i have installed 2 brand new ceramic lamp holders for the small G9 capsule bulbs, i would highly recommend the of the LED equivalent of these little bulbs, that is what i have used in the photos- they are widely available, very economic, last for ages, and stay nice and cool, i can supply these if you need, please ask!

the size of the light is approximately 190mm high x 170mm wide at the widest point

i would really recommend the use of low energy/low wattage lamps!

This a quality item. It is very small but the buyer is already aware of this if you read the dimensions clearly listed on the website. Beautiful craftsmanship and definitely one of a kind. I gave four stars instead of five because the light is MUCH less brighter than expected.
