Description

New colors for Fall and winter, millennial pink, red, olive green and teal blue!

This simple round shape is inspired by seed pods, slightly flattened and smooth in the hand. Messing around in the garden is one way I relax. I also find it very inspiring.

My time in the studio, on the other hand is vigorous and stimulating. There are many steps to creating one small vase. I start by hand pinching a shape in clay and then I need to make a plaster mold to slip cast them. Each bud vase is hand painted with raised white stripes of a thicker glaze applied separately. The slip casting process makes it possible for me to make multiples, to hand paint and decorate my vases and still have some time to spend with my flowers.

I originally called these "wedding bud vases". They were commissioned by the bridal department of Barneys NY in Japan who requested that I design some small gifts for brides and grooms. These bright, little bud vases are the result. Handmade and personal, they make lovely gifts whether there is a wedding involved or not!

Precious cute and also hip, they have universal appeal!

If a color is out of stock, you can request a custom order for that color.

3.25" high x 4.5" x 2"

Each vase comes wrapped in gray gift tissue and is sealed with an orange VIT sticker. If you would like the gift box package, Just ask. Its free!

Everything is produced in my studio, Kri Kri Studio , in Seattle Washington, USA
