These are the bungs that are used to close the hole in whiskey barrels. They are made out of poplar wood, tapering from 2 inches at the top down to 1.875 inches at the bottom. These are roughly-sawn, unfinished, and exactly how they came from the manufacturer.

These have been purchased by both crafters/builders/makers as well as small breweries and distilleries for closing their barrels. To that end, I have sorted these into two "grades" of quality as seen below:

1. Craft Project: These bungs have minimal dents or scuffs on the bottom face. The top face has a roughly sawn texture that is very easy to sand out as you prepare them for finishing.
2. Barrel Closure: As these will be probably be pounded into place with a mallet or hammer after the barrel is filled, cosmetic imperfections have been ignored. There will probably be dents, rough patches, and/or small cracks in the shipped product.
