Made from silver and old sewing-machine needles from an abandoned sweatshop in Clydebank, Scotland, this piece of jewellery intrigues and fascinates. Hundreds of hand-soldered needles are linked together in a shimmering fur-like cascade which catches the light and whispers tiny tinkling sounds as it moves.

The hand-made chain functions as a lariat-type necklace and hangs low on the body, the fastening being made from a corroded washer found in the street.

Although every needle has been blunted by hand, the piece is not recommended for wearing when working with children or babies!

The pendant is supplied in a customised wooden box and is titled, dated and numbered.

NB: The last photograph (the one on the blue background)is for reference only and only the pendant on the left of this picture is for sale.
