History:
Royal Winton was the leading producer of this style of chintz decoration.
The company introduced more than 60 chintz patterns
and exported to most Commonwealth countries and the USA.

Winton's world famous chintz patterns are floral designs that are tightly grouped, highly detailed with vibrant colours in all over floral patterns.

"Summertime" was introduced in 1932 and was the most popular and widely produced Winton pattern until production ceased in the 1960’s.

Discontinued in the 1960’s due to the high production costs associated with this style of decorating, Royal Winton chintz is now highly desirable in the antique and vintage markets today.
