What's vintage to me may not be vintage to you. A general definition is anything that is 20+ years old - as of now, pre-1999. Additionally, I do my best to weed out modern items that are made to look vintage. Having said that, I may make a mistake here and there. It can be very hard with certain types of items to truly know the age. I try to research all my items. Always read the item descriptions! Please message me before purchasing if you have questions. I can always provide additional photos. Thanks!
Because all of the items I sell are vintage or upcycled vintage, I will always list them as in vintage condition. This basically means that it's not a new item or an item with all new parts. I further specify the quality of the item with the following (from worst to best): okay, good, very good, excellent.

Okay: Several flaws, but item still functions as intended and is usable.
Good: A few flaws, some may be visible during use.
Very good: A few flaws, most are not visible during use.
Excellent: Almost new condition, no flaws or one tiny flaw.

I will also specifically describe the flaws I base condition on. Upcycled items will have a mix of conditions listed based on the parts used to create the item.
Because my items have used components, they may have been exposed to smoke or pet dander in the past. I do not sell things that smell as if they have been around mold/mildew or smoke. It is possible for an item to have been exposed to mold/mildew and not smell at the current time. Therefore, used items are not a good choice for someone with severe allergies. Some items will have an "old" smell to them due to age, which is different from the smell of mold and mildew.

I live in a smoke-free home, but have several furry "assistants" - both cats and dogs. I attempt to limit their direct contact with my items as much as possible.
This depends on the item.

Jewelry: Almost all pieces are cleaned with a gentle jewelry cleanser or wiped with a damp cloth to remove dust. If I do not at all clean an item (due to fragility), this will be in the condition notes.

Fabric Items: If a fabric item does not smell, does not have large unwashed stains, or is extremely delicate, I will usually not wash it. If I do wash an item, it is hand-washed using a gentle detergent or soak.

Decor/Housewares: Glassware is hand-washed with minimal soap and hand-dried. Other non-porous items are also hand-washed or wiped with a damp cloth to remove dust. If washing/wiping an item would risk damage (e.g. to a hand-painted design), I do not risk it! This will be indicated in the condition notes.
Jewelry items are wrapped in a handkerchief or placed in a small bag. Gift wrapped jewelry items will also be placed in a black matte gift box. They are then wrapped in bubble wrap and mailed in a bubble mailer or small box.

Larger items will be wrapped in bubble wrap and packed in a box with more bubble wrap, packing peanuts, or newspaper.

Things such as scarves, gloves, and ties will be folded, wrapped in tissue paper, and mailed in a bubble mailer.

Handbags will be packed based on size, any breakable parts, etc. and could be sent in an extra padded bubble mailer or a box.

FYI: I often reuse packaging materials, such as bubble mailers, boxes, and packing peanuts, to keep costs low. Some orders will be shipped with recycled materials.
Due to movement, vibrations, and temperature changes during shipping, it is possible for rhinestones (and other set stones) to loosen in their settings and sometimes even fall out of their settings. Additionally, the glue in vintage jewelry items is, many times, also vintage, so it is possible for its hold to break during shipping. I try to make sure prongs are secure and glued stones feel secure, and I wrap everything to minimize impact during shipping.

*It's best to open everything carefully in case there is a loose stone.*

I accept returns if you contact me within 14 days and mail the item back within 30 days. I can also provide tips for re-gluing stones, if this something you want to do yourself.
Because I am based in the US, my item prices and shipping prices do not include VAT or other taxes/duties/fees. If you will need to pay these in order to receive your package, you will be notified by your country's mail service. More information: https://www.etsy.com/help/article/5023

The customs form utilized by the USPS, and auto-filled by Etsy, will contain general information on the items in your order and the price paid for each item. This form is part of the shipping label on the outside of the package. I cannot change information on this form to avoid taxes and fees.

All of my international shipping prices include insurance. I do not ship to countries that I cannot insure packages to, as per the insurance carrier.
Yes, Etsy will automatically calculate a combined shipping cost when you purchase more than one item from me within the same order. You can see an estimate of the cost by adding the items you want to your cart and viewing the shipping section on your cart's page.

Sometimes shipping costs are miscalculated on the part of Etsy or myself. If you are overcharged more than $1.00, I will issue you a refund for the difference. I usually eat the cost if shipping is undercharged, except in rare circumstances (such as when the customer requests special packaging).
I accept returns on most items. Please contact me within 14 days of receiving your order to work out the details. I ask that returns be sent back in the original shipping packaging within 30 days. Return shipping is at the expense of the buyer. Items not returned in the same condition as at time of sale will not be fully refunded.

In the case of items arriving damaged, I will request a photograph of the damage prior to issuing any refunds.

Any other requests for refunds will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. I will always work with buyers to find solutions that are fair for both parties.
I offer gift wrap on select items, including most jewelry and other small accessories, for a reasonable fee. I do not currently offer gift wrap for large items due to the extra shipping costs that Etsy cannot currently calculate.

All items eligible for gift wrap will have a drop-down box labeled "Packaging." This allows you to choose "Regular Packaging," which is a vintage handkerchief or small drawstring bag, or "Gift Box," which adds a black matte box with hand-stamped gold flower on the lid.
