Description

.Giclee print of a carousel horse printed on paper with matte finish.

The carousel horse in the recent past has become a treasured piece of Americana, sought after by hundreds of collectors, researched and classified, resurrected from neglect. These beautiful carvings are part of the fabric of America .

The origins of this art form date back to an Arabian game Spanish crusaders brought to Italy. The name of the game was "Carosello", an old Italian word meaning "little war". There is evidence of carousels in the US as far back as 1825.

I share the love and appreciation many have for these lovely pieces of history, and have very much enjoyed reproducing some of the elegant designs to share with other who also appreciate the artistry of our American craftsmen.

This print is sold without mat and comes in 11"x 14".

It comes in a plastic sleeve and is shipped in several layers of card board for safe delivery.

International shipping rates to be determined.
