This lovely symbol of France is a homemade flag, made especially to support the country in the Second World War.

The story behind it is lovely. The elderly gentleman said that his wife was not good at sewing at all but she borrowed her mothers machine when he requested a french flag to hang from their bedroom window.
As you will see, the sewing is not very well done but it is sturdy and it has lasted.
He did say that they used the flag a lot over the years and his wife even had to resew some areas.

On the blue side, there is a space to put a pole or rope.

so, it is not a company made flag but a 'home made' one.

length:168cm (66 inches)
width:98 cm (38.5 inches)

Condition: The flag is only in medium condition. The sewing is still stable but their are holes and tears(generally in the white material). There are brownish marks and holes(please see photos). The white material is the most damaged.
It is worn but can still be used.

Please note that I ship from France so shipping times are longer.
