This install kit is for an heirloom quality installation of metal table legs onto your office desk, kitchen table, coffee table, or other DIY wooden table project.

Custom bolt length is perfectly designed to work with my 1/4" thick leg plates and fully engage the threaded insert without being too long or too short.

!!Your top should be at least 3/4" thick in order to accept the inserts (if using my legs that have a 1/4" thick plate)!!

Two versions:

Hardwood - great for butcher block slabs and any species of solid wood, such as walnut or maple, plus exotic and imported woods.

Composite - great for plywood sub tops, plus MDF, fiberboard, particle board, or kitchen counter remnants.

These can be used on stone if you install a plywood sub top under the stone for the legs to attach to. You can also drill a hole and epoxy them into the stone. You will need your own stone drill bit. Order the hardwood version if you want to epoxy them into the stone.

Each kit includes:

* Threaded Inserts (number varies based on the legs your order, plus one or two extra for testing), 1/2" long, Zinc Plated
* Decorative Head Bolts (low profile so they do not hang down), Zinc Plated
* Small Pilot Hole Drill Bit
* Large Drill Bit for Inserts (if your wood is particularly hard, you may need a slightly larger drill bit, or carefully wobble it to enlarge the hole)
* Large Allen Wrench for Threaded Insert Installation
* Small Allen Wrench for Bolt Installation

This is a professional grade kit and takes some measuring and marking skills.
If you want to just pop a few screws in the legs to very quickly attach them, then this installation method is not for you, but if you would like an heirloom-quality fastener system that will last through the years, then the threaded insert system is a great choice.

!!Note: I don't know the relationship of the leg width to your top width, so you are responsible for testing the inserts on a similar piece of scrap. If your legs are very close to the width of your top, then the holes will be very close to the edge of your table. Wood species, moisture content, wood slab thickness, drill bit size, how much you torque the insert, and hole placement are all variables that can affect the performance, and all are out of my control. In other words, I'm not responsible for the installation of this hardware, so if some error is made, it should happen on a test piece of wood first. Note that you should test the full installation on a test piece, which means two or three holes on an edge/corner, as the leg plates dictate.

If you are not experienced in this sort of thing, I would suggest drilling and installing one (1) insert/bolt in each of the leg plate holes at a time, this way your accurate measurements don't accidentally get "off" for some reason and you get in a bind. In other words, do one corner hole, put in a bolt, mark and drill the next one, install each bolt, drill the next hole, install insert and bolt, etc. Naturally, you'll have to move the leg out of the way each time.
