Description

Visit Creative Cloisters at our new webshop for blogs, showcases and extra content.
creativecloisters.com

Based on the prop used in the 1989 Batman movie with Michael Keaton this 3D printed prop is designed to fold as shown in the movie. It is spring loaded with an internally threaded bungee cord so will unfold under its own tension.

The production of this piece is involved so please allow some leeway with production time. It is modelled and printed fully by myself.

It is 22cm wide at its widest point.

I also produce a static prop model that does not fold. Look for this in my shop along with a cornucopia of Batarangs of all shapes and sizes. If you cannot see the style you want message me and I will endeavour to create it for you.

The item is provided unfinished as seen in the images. It is printed in PLA bioplastic which takes most paints and primers well. Information on finishing PLA is available freely on the internet.

See it in action at my facebook page https://www.facebook.com/creativecloisters/videos/2057099637852800/

UK Postage is FREE

NOTE: THIS IS NOT INTENDED OR CERTIFIED FOR USE AS A TOY. ANY USE OF AS SUCH IS AT THE PURCHASERS OWN RISK.

Colour variations may be apparent due to changes in material and photography. I try to give as accurate a description as possible.

FAQs

If you want a custom order please contact me for a no obligation price.
I try to size as accurately as possible but obviously variations can occur.
Items are sent by Royal Mail and should arrive within 2 - 3 days in the UK and 5-7 elsewhere. However items have been known to get delayed or lost so please allow 10 Working Days in the UK, 20 Working Days in Europe and 25 Working Days elsewhere from my postage notification for your delivery to arrive. (This follows Royal Mail loss guidelines)

If it still has not arrived after this time please contact me.
Probably!

If you don't see your choice listed drop me a line, I may have the colour or be able to get it for you. Some colours, however, cannot be obtained as they dont exist or are prohibitively expensive to ship to the UK.
NO!

A well printed item can be extremely robust. Thin pieces can snap depending on design but that is true for any material.

I think most people are surprised at how tough 3D printed items are.

Of course flaws can occur in any print and may not always be visible or noticed. Please do not be shy to contact me if something breaks.
All prints take time to do. As this is my second job I also need to arrange my printing around work. Additionally I only (currently) have the one printer.

That said my turnaround is generally well within the estimates and I rarely exceed the shipping times unless external forces such as plastic orders intervene.
CONTACT ME!

I think I am a nice guy, some would say too nice. I want all of my customers to think that too.
I will normally spot and refund highly excessive postage costs. Contact me before ordering if you are really concerned about this and I will give you a set price.
I am a better 3D Maker than I am a shopkeeper. The odds are "I done goofed". Let me know and I will fix it!
ABS is a more difficult material to print and produces fumes when being printed therefore I do not tend to use it.

On larger items an ABS print is less likely to be successful as it can split when cooling and as it takes more energy to heat the print bed it is also more expensive.

I can print in ABS but in most cases I won't. Feel free to ask but it will cost more and may be unfeasible for my setup.
