This is an archival print of my original oil and encaustic painting called "Tufted Titmouse Goes To Town"

There is a story that goes with this image and because of it the Titmouse is a special bird for me. I painted this piece to remember a special Titmouse that would come to visit me at my window for a couple of winters, asking for walnuts. I would see this particular titmouse as soon as I awoke in the morning because she would visit me and tap on the window as I walked around the house going about my business. This went on until I would notice her and feed her walnuts. She would not rest (or let me rest) until she got her walnuts and then after wards she would go on her tweetie way. I was always stressed when I ran out of walnuts!

I created the original painting in encaustic wax with many fine details in oil paint. Her entire dress is made of intricate flowers and greenery. The original painting was quite sizable, aprox. 42x58" and in it the bird is all dressed up and heading into town dressed in her morning finery. She walks in a lush green landscape dotted with flowers.

The print dimensions are Aprox. 5x6" on 8.5 x 11" Somerset Enhanced Velvet Archival paper. This paper is soft, very slightly textured and museum quality. The print will arrive safely on your door step in a hard backed flat envelope, ready for framing.

Thanks for looking!
