Welcome to view our listing of this Vintage Mid Century Jeannette Glass 'Louisa-Clear' Floragold Woven Pattern Pressed Glass Pedestal Fruit Bowl Compote!

This heavy sturdy glass compote fruit pedestal bowl has a woven basket pattern on it with a Jeanette Louisa Floragold pattern on the inside of the bowl. It stands 6-1/2" in height by 9" in diameter across the top opening. The bottom underside base measures 4-3/8" across in diameter. This fruit bowl compote is in good vintage condition with the exception of tiny wear scratches in some places.

The Jeanette Bottle Works Company was founded in Jeanette Pa in 1887 and in 1899 they joined the machine age and became Jeanette Glass Company. They produced relish jars, automobile headlights and canning jars and expanded by 1904. They started adding household items, medical supplies, and more new machinery was added in the 1920's to produce tableware items called "Depression Glass" that is very collectible today. The Jeanette Glass Company purchased the McKee Glass Company in 1961 and produced many glass patterns until 1983 in Jeanette Pa. They shut down in 1983 and the Cherry Blossom pattern was made in crystal, blue, green jadeite, yellow, and pink colors.

This is a gorgeous Jeanette Glass Floragold fruit bowl compote that would look stunning in any kitchen area or on a dining room table!
