From the back of the postcard: "The Mocking Bird was designated by the Senate Concurrent Resolution 1927 Legislature as the State Bird. This bird lives in Florida year-round and is probably the most widely-distributed and best known bird in the State. This scene is from the original canvas, painted especially to give true rendition to the Official Florida State Bird. Painted by Ken Haag."

Now, I would have guessed the pelican was the state bird but then I'm from Ohio - so what would I know?

This would make a nice addition to your collection or could be a great souvenir of a trip to Florida. I know I have wonderful memories of family vacations to Florida as a little girl and I still get excited when I see Florida souvenirs.

Please check back again as I will continue to list more postcards. I have many state bird postcards by Ken Haag.
