Description

Ceramic sculpture and a functional planter. These ponies are great for growing cactus or herbs, but are also a wonderful piece of ceramic art for your home! All ponies wear a crown and have a brightly glazed saddle with carved decoration. They are weighty & quite solid to hold, and just plain fun to admire.

Each pony is individually sculpted, then glazed and fired in a kiln to cone 10 (really, really hot). This high temperature vitrifies the clay, making it water resistant and brings out the wonderful dark brown black, sandy texture of the clay.

These ponies will brighten anyone's day and make a fun, unusual gift. Each pony is packaged in color tissue paper with a kraft gift tag making them ready for an instant surprise!

Made from black mountain stoneware clay
Signed on the bottom by the artist (that's me)
Handmade in Long Beach, CA

Care instructions: Planters should be kept dry and not exposed to extreme weather conditions.

Ponies are available in two sizes:

Large: 4 to 5 inch diameter base
Large ponies can hold quite a lot such as roll of twine, full grown cactus, or herbs well. Large ponies weigh anywhere between 3-4 lb.

Small: 3 to 4 inch diameter base
Small ponies can hold smaller cacti, pencils or other important things. Small ponies weigh in at 2 lb.

*Due to the handmade nature there will be irregularities and dimensions will vary.

Thanks for visiting my shop, hope to see you again!
