When I was shown this glass cabochon by the young girl at the farmer's market I have been buying dichroic pieces from, I was immediately struck by it's beauty. She held it up in the sun and it sparkled and glistened with gold and turquoise highlights. It was one of those "Oh, yeah" moments. I had found my focal for the September EBW challenge, "Bollywood".

The cabochon is predominately clear but bezelling it with silver-lined gold and turquoise luster seed beads brings out those colors in the cab. I embellished the bezel with fringe, added a peyote stitch bail and suspended the focal from a right angle weave chain encrusted with AB finish gold and turquoise Czech fire polish crystals. It all adds up to a creation with maximum bling. The entire necklace is 20 inches long and is fastened with a peyote stitch rectangular toggle clasp. The focal is a 1 inch by 1.25 inch cabochon. From bail to tip of fringe, the focal piece is 4.25 inches long.

Bollywood Lights is my entry in the Etsy Beadweavers September beading challenge. Please visit the team blog, www.etsy-beadweavers.blogspot.com between September 9 and 15 to view all of the fabulous entries and to vote for your favorite.
