Description

Nimy Stick Splatter/Spongeware Bowl/Black Rim

This gaudy spongeware pottery bowl has been painted free-hand and with sponge in black, green, pink, and blue. The rim of this bowl features an unusual black floral pyramid design, which we understand is quite rare on pieces like this. Mark on bottom reads “NIMY, Manufacture Imperiale et Royale, Fabrication Belge, Made In Belgium.” Underneath that mark is an underlined “K.” There is an incised 10 1/2 and two brown glaze marks. The Bowl is crazed on the bottom, but it in no way detracts from the beauty of this elegant piece.

These Nimy pieces are the perfece non Christmas, Christmas dishware. The colors are perfect for the holidays!

Measures 10 7/8 inches in diameter and 2 inches tall.
