Description

Haven't seen these Surfer Dudes lately have you? The California Raisins, which was the brainchild of Will Vinton became a craze that lasted for years from 1987 - 1994. The California Raisin figures started as a commercial for the California Raisin Industry. The craze exploded into movies, records, cartoons and a large amount of merchandising. Check out the commercials for the Calif Raisins - just google "California Raisins" - what a hoot!!

These figures are made of PVC and stand 3" tall. Here are the 1988 "Surfboard", #1 and #2. This is the first time that I've seen the set of two (2) available. Surfboard #2 is hard to find.
The Surfer Dude is the figure of Ben Indasun wearing his signature orange sunglasses and sneakers. The Surfer California Raisin #1 holds his surfboard up in the air, vertically. Surfboard is attached to his sneakers. Surfer #2, holds his surfboard in a horizontal position. Surfboard is not attached to his sneakers.

There was a time when you thought of California you automatically conjured up visions of "fun in the sun and surfing". The Surfer Dudes represent those fun and free times! They are being sold as a set and are in good condition. I do mail outside of the USA, contact me for correct postage.
